Raphaël Gianelli-Meriano is a French director and photographer based in Paris.
His passion for the Arts begins at early age at the Music conservatory of Valence where he studies the violon.
Between the age of 19 and 23, he grabs his skateboard and camera and travels the world sponsored by Sector9 Skateboards.
His acute eye and original approach open the doors to several French and international press titles that soon publish his portraits and editorial series.
(L’Officiel, Purple Fashion, Jalouse, French Magazine, Beaux Arts, Bon Magazine… shooting celebrities such as Jeff Koons, Anja Rubik, Hailey Baldwin, Lily Aldridge, Natasha Poly, Vivienne Westwood).

In 2002, he travers to Estonia and participantes in the Kinobuss summer festival, an « on the road » cinema for which he soon becomes the official photographer. His pictures are exhibited at the National Library in Tallinn and the Center for Fashion and Design Paris.

His first book ABOUT ESTONIA is launched at Colette in Paris in 2005 and relayed by the critic.

This recognition leads him to develop new projects and to investigate new artistic fields of expression working with International art directors such as Marc Ascoli or Marie-Amélie Sauvé and high fashion clients such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, YSL, Armani beauty, Carolina Herrera and Estée Lauder.

At 41, Raphaël is a multi disciplinary artist who embraces all facets of visual expression from film direction, photography, cinematography and writing.
